Jiazhi He

My name is Jiazhi He, I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics of University of Pittsburgh, advised by Prof. Yu Cheng. Prior to joining University of Pittsburgh, I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from The School of Mathematical Science of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 2023.

My research interests span personalized medicine and large language models (LLMs). In personalized medicine, I develop statistical methods for testing dynamic treatment regimes (adaptive treatment strategies) using data from sequential multiple assignment randomized trials (SMARTs) or similarly structured observational studies. I also work on supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning for LLMs, as well as LLM agents.
